20-Year-Old Black Male Dies in Ferguson Protest

After Officer Darren Wilson was not indicted for the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, Ferguson continued their days of protesting, but it may have done more harm than help.

At 9 a.m. on November 25, the day after the Ferguson decision, DeAndre Joshua, 20, was seen in a white Pontiac Grand Prix in the Canfield Green Apartments, which is the same location Wilson shot Brown. Shattered glass covered in blood lay on the ground besides the car.

According to {Yahoo,} Joshua’s body was found in the driver seat of the car, which was backed into a parking space. Joshua had been shot once in the head and an accelerant was used to light the body on fire, severely burning the victim’s arm, fingers and legs.

At least 14 people were reported injured during protests, 80 people were arrested in the and about a dozen buildings were reportedly burned in the St. Louis area and Ferguson areas overnight, according to {USA Today.}

Police are investigating the cause of death for Joshua, but Joshua’s grandmother Renita Towns told {USA Today,} “Police don’t care — he’s black.”
